    2024 IndyCar News/Misc.

I was at Alexander Rossi's last win - that was the August IMS race in 2022. Obviously he isn't bad, but he also isn't setting the world on fire. The driver market has a lot of competition, and how much are you losing if you bring in, say, a Santino Ferrucci? Doesn't seem like much.

    Bonehead of the week: Michigan

Does he win any money if he has those 30 points?

    2024 Bommarito Automotive 500 @ Gateway

Race was highly entertaining even if it devolved a bit at the end. Gateway is like a lot of super speedways: the comparisons to the old multiuse stadiums for the 90s tracks feels more true to me as I attend more races at tracks of this era as they often have nothing permanent in terms of fan...

    USAC 2024

I was one of those 70-80 and was thinking hard about my life choices during the delay.

Conor burns through his tires. Iowa 2022 was a glaring example of this. That's why he's never gotten to the next level.

 Welp. Guess I gotta fabricate some new plans for tomorrow. Harrah's Metropolis, here I come?

    Michigan International Speedway Pre-Race Thread

Not so much an MIS tip per se, but I will say that if you aren't camping at the track, I would recommend spending an evening over at the Cascades. It's honestly pretty amazing and there's a small museum about the history of it in addition to the fountain shows themselves. The cost is something...

    Michigan International Speedway Pre-Race Thread

Surprised that I haven't gotten nearly the full court press from MIS or Firekeepers this year about buying tickets. Not that I'm even in the state, but last year I got phone calls and emails galore from both. Might just be that I didn't bite in the past, however.

    High Limit 2024

Hoping I get back to my hotel after USAC at Red Hill in time to see this feature roll off. Really excited to see Veal and Goodyer in this.

Still time in the year for these to come true.

    2024 IndyCar News/Misc.

If I were 5 Hour Energy or someone like that, I'd much rather have Ferrucci in my car than Pietro Fittipaldi. But what do I know?

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

I won't be since Dillon probably won't be anywhere near them on the track. There's a reason he was 32nd in points coming into the race.

    World of Outlaws 2024

Didn't see Haase's wreck live, but she's a 27 year old woman and she is free to make any decision she wants to about her career in racing including continuing in it. She's been around long enough to see other people get hurt or killed. She isn't a little girl, she's a grown adult, and it would...

    Noah Gragson: Please Explain.

The last time I did a thread like this in this subforum, the driver lost his gig. I guess we'll see if I'm just the grim reaper of NASCAR careers. Noah Gragson won a few XFinity races; can't be mad at him for not being champion since you can win 30+ races and not be that now with this system...

    2024 IndyCar News/Misc.

Can-a-bean-o is heading back to Argentina to enjoy some of the South American winter weather. I was rooting for him right up until he decided to play the victim because his fans were sending death threats at his request. Now I won't miss him.

Is VisaToroCashGrabAlphaRossoF1 still marketed as a junior team?

"Junior" would suggest that it is there to develop prospects, but they've had DannyRic in a car for a year and a half at the end of his career while Yuki is, well, Yuki. He's Takuma Sato except shorter, never podiumed, and clearly never going to progress to the Red Bull seat. Are they still...

    2025 schedule news/rumors

I assume the only reason they keep doing the Charlotte roval is that the road courses in the south which might be able to handle a Cup race are either already booked elsewhere in the year (COTA) or are owned/managed by ISC (Sonoma, Road Atlanta, Sebring) and thus they can't snatch a date away...
