Agreed. Bigger picture is I highly doubt a season with playoffs or without playoffs would move the needle much on viewership, thus TV doesn't care other than they'd have to try harder to create content.

I read the thread title in the context of tonight's race and was expecting a WAYYYY different thread about NASCAR cracking down of manufacturer collusion next year.

I just thought "Gee, NASCAR is going to have to clarify legal and illegal wall-rides now". Then I had to laugh at how ridiculous this is getting, and that that was even a thought.

Curious what others are thinking about tonight's officiating call... I was thinking Bell and Byron should've been penalized. Both manufacturers played games. NASCAR totally ignored that but is able to claim they did "something" by penalizing Bell for safety (but not competition).

Remember 2008-2015ish when the worst things we had to complain about the tower were BS debris cautions? I never would've complained if I knew this and other NASCAR bull****tery were in our future.

NASCAR should penalize all of them and send a message to the manufacturers
