Jimmy Johnson back to NASCAR as part owner of Petty GMS

I enjoyed having Jimmie over in Indycar land the last 2 years, and seeing him run the Indy 500 was awesome. I hope he returns to run that specific race, if he still wants. He ran fairly well there (for a 47 year old open wheel rookie), qualifying in the fast 9, but did fade a bit in the race...

Jimmy Johnson back to NASCAR as part owner of Petty GMS

uh no, he's correct. Hendrick Motorsports - Owned by Rick/Linda Hendrick, and Jeff Gordon JTG Daugherty - Owned by Gordon Smith, Brad Daugherty, Tad/Jodi Geschickter Kaulig Racing - owned 100% by Matt Kaulig as far as I can tell Petty GMS - owned by Richard Petty, Maury/Spencer Gallagher, and...

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

Good point. I know I'll be tuning in for the first "playoff" race since Darlington. Mostly I wanna see what happens to Gibbs on Saturday, and then Chastain on Sunday. I'm hoping one if not both of them, end up in the wall... thanks to help from someone

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

for the couple of you confused on how physics works, here is a simplified video explaining it.

Ty Gibbs Is a Bad Person

I applaud Reddick for the tough decision he made. I agree with your Jones/Gibbs take. Gibbs is a (talented) punk, and whoever takes him up to the wall will gain a lot of fans probably.

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

I could see it. He ran well there earlier this year. But I have money on Logano to win it that I placed earlier this year, so for selfish reasons I'm cheering for him.

thank you for the article that explained the physics, proving I was right. It was a good read!

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

I've built and put together Margay, Tony Kart, Birel go-karts. I've helped my buddy build his sprint car he races at Knoxville. I've done the same on late model at a local dirt track in Marshalltown and Boone All of that is purely besides the point and a deflection, which is predictable...

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

Actually i have. Again, we're talking about the apex of the corner at Martinsville. There is exactly a 0% chance the car comes off the wall at full speed in the corner.

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

Once again avoiding reality and deflecting. Far too predictable from you

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

You obviously never took a physics class. You honestly think that if Ross's hands were off the wheel (which according to him, they were) going full throttle at martinsville, the car would have come off the wall in the apex!? Talk about laughable.

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

No when your going as fast as he was. Physics took over and the wall guided him around. Hand off the wheel and the car still stays on the wall, due to the speed he was traveling. Walking and pushing the car, yea somone would need to steer it, going 2mph. But 130mph into a 180 degree corner...

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

I read that post, and at no time did you explain the talent that move required.

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

I don't disagree that it was daring. And it worked, and it was legal for him to do, kudos for him taking advantage. I was just simply stating that the move didn't require any talent, and Spotter informed me that's laughable. Yet when I asked him for details he was unable to provide them.

thank you for not having an answer. I'm not surprised.

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

well yea... by definition you'd have to grab the wheel after riding the wall. I guess we'll disagree on how much talent it would require to keep the car going straight.

congrats on ignoring the rest of the post of mine

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

sure he had to grab the wheel after he rode the wall. as for in the corner... "I let go of the wheel,” the Trackhouse Racing driver continued https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/10/31/ross-chastain-nascar-final-lap-martinsville/

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

I was clarifying that I didn't have sour grapes, as your initial post was somewhat confusing. Lol well an opinion can be wrong if there is something factual or real to track. So if I said "in my opinion, the Dow Jones was down 12% in the month of October alone", that would be incorrect as there...

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

Please expand for me and others, how much talent it took to take your hands off the wheel, and keep it full throttle as you ride the wall.
