Time to look at playoff format?

it's not right, but it's what we've got. Seems like many of us dislike it to at least some degree, and some of us hate it altogether. I'd happily settle for a 2004 Chase for the Cup again, even though I'd prefer the 2003 system in reality. I understand that there is a whole generation of Cup...

Pre Race: The Cook Out Southern 500 @Darlington Raceway

One of my favorite races of the year. One of the few races I'll watch the pre-race, every lap, and post-race. I absolutely love the racing at Darlington. Give me tracks that are incredibly difficult, so I can actually see the talent of these drivers on display. After the crapfest that was...

Time to look at playoff format?

I hated the Chase, and now the playoffs. But having said that, I'd happily go back to the 2004 version of the chase over the crap we currently have. Top 10 in points get to race for the Championship. I could get behind that again. The 2011 championship battle, as awesome as it was, is the...

    illegal team orders

I have a huge problem with plate racing in general. It's not racing. It's a high speed game of chicken.

    illegal team orders

with how plate racing is, you almost have to expect there to be team orders. I don't really have an issue with it.

Who Doesnt Advance , Round Of 16

Bowman - only 2 top 5's since his win in the 3rd race of the year. No idea how he keeps this ride to be honest Cindric - great equipment, but rookie driver, I expect him to get pushed around Dillon - not a fan of him, I'm just hoping he doesn't advance Briscoe - hasn't been running well at the...

    Move of the Race Daytona

I'll go with Dillon, but not for wrecking the 2 car because he couldn't pass him cleanly. But for being one of the few drivers who was able to avoid wreck when the whole field crashed thanks to NASCAR for not throwing the yellow with rain on the track. Him avoiding that wreck, and with that...

    Silly Season 2023

Is Justin Haley signed for 2023 or would he lose his ride if Kaulig signs Busch?

Bonehead of the week: Daytona II

I've got 2 boneheads 1. NASCAR for their failure yet again to stop racing when rain is hitting a race track. Happened at New Hampshire in 2021 as well. 2. Austin Dillon for his WWE entertainment move, in not even attempting to race the 2 car, and just shove him out of the way

    Silly Season 2023

Right now I'm just more concerned about Kurt and his health. Head injuries are serious and I just hope he's okay. Kurt is probably done racing, and it's a shame because he's an extremely talented driver, but it's gotta happen I think. Kurt also has absolutely nothing left to prove, he won...

Trackhouse Entertainment Group announces PROJECT91 initiative

If they can't get Kimi in the booth, here is a good second idea. Get Hinch to do a Kimi impression instead.

    Silly Season 2023

It's an awesome idea by Justin Marks. I know the Indy 500 said he wants to give it a try. Kimi being in the car at the Glen was very entertaining.

    Silly Season 2023

I'm sure there is a chance, but not sure how much. He's too good to sit on the sidelines. But he also won't take a ride just for the sake of driving, he wants and deserves to race with a team that can be up front. I think Kaulig makes it happen somehow.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

If you were me and looking to attend 1 NASCAR short track race next year. Would you go to Bristol night, or playoff Martinsville?

Bonehead of the week: Watkins Glen

My bonehead: NBC NASCAR coverage. It's just awful. I hate the radio style broadcast. They don't follow up on any stories. Don't keep you up to date on strategies. They notice something but never show you it "oh a car is slowing down"... okay, who was it and why?

Bonehead of the week: Watkins Glen

Actually NASCAR did the right thing. If cars are hydroplaning, you can't race. Look at F1 even, there are times they can't race in the rain. It was too dangerous, they waited 30 minutes, and threw the green flag, they actually get a kudos from me.

Watkins Glen Move of the Race

My move of the race was NASCAR not waiting for hours on end to start the race. It was too dangerous, they wait 30 mins and then threw the green flag and keeping it clean the whole first lap. Bravo to all.
