I think most major racing series will eventually wind up having a playoffs. I can't really fault NASCAR, car reliability is miles ahead of where it was even 30 years ago. The year long title does not make as much sense as it used to, rarely are cars failing due to anything outside of a crash anymore

Haha right!? I know some of us purists don't love it, but it sure draws in the eyeballs. If I were at R&D I'd be doing whatever it takes to create the style of racing we have at Michigan at those tracks. That "slingshot" drafting style is what made those super speedways truly great

Martinsville but make it a road course. This really is great racing though because they’re bumping and banging but not really outright wrecking

I actually think it flows a lot better. But to that point with this car that is the move with low speed corners considering how sturdy they are

I like this. Frankly I’m tired of these cars running all over the place. Run between the lines, every other sport in the world requires this.

This is what will change minds in my opinion. Also the Verstappen/Hamilton title chase of a few years back was prime evidence of what a points race like that will actually do from the drama side of things

I think the intensity has just been lost from the previous gen car on these tracks, folks forget we had a stretch with some of the best races of all time. The fall Martinsville 3 wide finish with Truex getting hit might be the best race I’ve ever seen. The car just needs more HP on these tracks...
