I'm disappointed the Charlotte Roval never came to fruition with an Indycar. I was there when Newgarden did the test on the track, was awesome to see. I think you'd need to remove that final chicane though for Indy to run there.

He's an elite driver man, Corey Day has a future in NASCAR for sure if he wants it

So pumped for this race. Sold out almost immediately and it’s a very low grip track due to its shape and length. It’s a little wider racing groove than Richmond, restarts are always insane at this place

If facilities are major point, a race at Barber makes all the sense in the world. I'd love to see a Barber/Dega DH weekend with a weekend champ determined by total points in both races and a bonus for winning both

Mid Ohio deserves a cup race. Also, lets bring back Eldora for the trucks. That was a great annual race

When has passing ever been easy at Sonoma? Watkins Glen is a far easier place to pull off passes than this one. I give it a 7, that beginning was a caution fest

Chase just doesn't have the advantage he used to on road courses. IMO he's the most talented road course driver of all time in NASCAR

The downforce is good, but with sustainable fuels you almost just wish they'd go to a Turbo V8 instead. The problem with hybridization on a road course in general is the instantaneous nature of power delivery. You're able to exit so well it's hard to get the jump and overtake on the straights.

I think NASCAR needs to seriously consider dumping the current format because of this. It's fine to have playoffs and all of the eliminations, but I'd be okay with a points race for the Top 16 followed by current format for the postseason

Ericsson absolutely gets to him if there’s one more lap to go. He closed the gap on the final lap by almost 2 seconds once he got past Armstrong. I actually like the track quite a bit. It’s sort of ironic it’s the closest to our house but we never go. Indy is an expensive and exhausting...
