After the first few races I thought the changes weren't too bad, now I am not so sure. I agree with TRL that I will wait until half the season is run. I should have an idea how the package performs over a wider range of tracks.

I have always thought the racing would be better there if they ran in the opposite direction.

It makes no difference to me. Like everything else that is NASCAR, it's a popularity contest. This is why the the people that were the foundation of the sport, and the early innovators, are left off the list.

Ernie and Mike Skinner were competitors of ours, on the local stock car scene, that made it to the top level of NASCAR. They are both great guys to talk to. Too bad we will never know how good he would have been, if it weren't for the crashes.

Because people were more friendly then.

It's going to be hard to make up any ground with so few drivers in the "A" and "B" levels.

Their track prep people are the worst I've ever seen. Their idea of getting rid of the ruts is to rototill the ruts and make them even deeper. I guess nobody ever told them to fill in the ruts with the clay that they throw over the the edge of the turns, then repack the clay. That should be done...

Going to a track that can handle the people, but isn't on the schedule, could be an idea for the all star race.

I've seen some of the newer supermods here in California. They have changed a lot since I was involved. There aren't very many of them out here. There is only one track I know of that races them, and I think it's only once, or twice a month. The fields aren't very big either. A twelve car field...
