Not taking away anything from JD, of course, but these half milers really expose the aero issues these current cars have. Of the 200 main event laps this week, I can only recall 1 green flag pass for the lead. That was Thursday night when Bobby passed RTJ.

I had a great time attending my first Rolex 24. Weather was perfect, crowd and atmosphere was electric. I'm still a newbie in the sports car/endurance racing scene, but this was a fun way to dip my toe into it. I may try to catch the event in Indy this year. Edited to add, the Cadillac n/a V8...

The most interesting aspect for me in this, if I'm interpreting the points situation correctly, is that Blaney can win the drivers points title but the car he would be driving has no chance to win on the owners side of the championship.
