There will be left turns. Many of them.

Maybe for you, but not for everyone. I've sworn off attending any more races until the put mufflers on the cars. And every new fan I've taken to a race has said the same thing. I would rather deal with TV commercials interrupting the action, and I hate commercials.

I think it's because once you go hybrid, it's really hard to stop the teams from using it like PtP. Like, you have a battery that's constantly building up and storing energy, how are you gonna control deployment of it? Do you leave it up to the teams to spend piles of $$ building engine mapping...

Is he off the throttle in the middle of the corner? Also damn that sounds so much more like a muscle car it's great.

I do wish they would keep the H pattern shifter since it takes more skill, but regardless with 6 gears we'll likely see shifting at short tracks for sure. That should open up more setup options and create passing opportunities. Not sure if the gears will be close enough to shift at intermediates...

    '21 Generation 7 Car news

It's not the number of pit crewmen that's the issue, it's their skill level and athleticism that would go away. Currently the pit crew (especially the tire changers) are highly coordinated athletes doing their job as fast as possible. That obviously costs good money for the teams, but it's worth...

The biggest worry for me isn't the engine it's the pit stops. I really don't want them do dumb those down. Stock cars don't have air jacks and single lug wheels and keeping things hard is what makes the race off pit road interesting. How quickly we forget years like 2015 where in many dull races...

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

No... just say no to street races. NASCAR needs to refocus on their core customers and fanbase not go chasing new markets and new demographics all over again. We saw how this worked out last time and I thought Phelps had finally come to his senses on this. There's a 0% chance a street race in...

It's no different than HMS building engines for all the chevy teams, or Roush Yates building all the Ford engines for teams. Thankfully there's gonna be a spending cap so that extra revenue stream shouldn't translate into more speed directly.

    '21 Generation 7 Car news

About the timeline: About the car itself: Reading between the lines it sounds like a major team is on the verge of going under and needs the Gen 7 cost reductions to make it sooner rather than later. I doubt it's JGR since TRD seems to be pushing back on the timeline. Penske just dumped a...

Who do you "NOT" want as 2019 Cup champion

I'm not gonna lie, I've never liked Joey as a teammate of Brad's so I'll say the 22.

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Say what you want about this type of package on other tracks, but I think the big winner has been the 4 superspeedway races. Neither inside nor outside lines are able to dominate and now we're even seeing a bit of the tandem return!
