    Beware of Rock Auto

That’s not entirely accurate. Most might be USA made, but not all, especially the front struts for my car. As for the OP issue, I too have used RA for about the past 10 years, no problems. I did have a set of sway bar end links, the ones that have tie rod like ends, arrive that had clearly...

NASCAR 2019 - Bold Prediction Thread

    Days of Thunder

Rush is a great movie, for the racing element AND Olivia Wilde.... Petty had a great quote about DoT The only thing real in that movie was the numbers on the cars. lol

    Matts last ride

Honorable mention to his Cole Trickling of Jr in an Xfinity race... Didn’t realize, or notice, Matt called it a career. Never much cared for him early on, but as time passed I grew to appreciate his ability as well as the wry sense of humor.

    NASCAR announces 2019 MENCS rules

I see there’s some discussion about “choking” down an engine. If the rules are written such that a 750 hp engine has its power reduced by way of a plate/tapered spacer, while changing nothing else, is choking down power. I’m guessing it’s a $$ issue with nascar. Costs less, a whole lot less...

    NASCAR announces 2019 MENCS rules

Gotta disagree there. Late 60s up to 70/71, possibly. After 72 it’s doubtful. 74 I believe highest HP American production car was SD TA and Formula, at 290? net. 75, up until ford decided to slap a 4bbl on 5 liter and drop it in the mustang, was Death Valley for HP. “High performance”...

When will we have another multitime champion? Hampered legacies of Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick

This will most likely spark a spirited debate. I’ll get it out of the way now, all of JJs titles were in the chase era, that changes the prism in which one looks at recent accomplishments. That being said, forgetting the chase, there wasn’t a more dominant driver/CC combo than Cheatin’ Chad...

The phenomenon of title contenders winning the final race.

Reading this thread has been beyond entertaining. One side says there is ( back of the garage shenanigans) the other says there isn’t. To, again, make a hockey analogy, replace nascar with the nhl and the final four with the Pittsburgh penguins, and the debate would be the same. Non-penguin...

The phenomenon of title contenders winning the final race.

Interesting thread. As a, pretty much, lifelong hockey fan I own stock in Alcoa. Conspiracy theorists abound in that sport’s fandom. All I can offer is that once a “coincidence” happens too many times, or too many times something does or does not happen to a particular entity, it ceases to...

Uh Oh...Cheater cheater pumpkin eater...L1 for the 4 team

Wow. If reports are true, and SHR did in fact “make” a shenaniganed copy of the approved spoiler.... That’s big time. IMO I’m surprised they didn’t get Waltrip’d over it.

    Another muscle car question...

That Ventura was nice....price not too bad either. One could, if they chose to, clone that into a GTO. Some purests frown on that practice tho. I say if you want to for personal reasons, have at it. However, as a person who has owned/worked on Pontiacs since senior year in HS, double the...

    Another muscle car question...

Depends on what your definition of musclecar is. You talking late 60s early 70s, or something later, like 3rd gen F-body’s ( 80s camaro/firebirds ) or late 80s early 90s mustangs? Early stuff is really easy to work on but the base car can cost a lot of $$. Later stuff will/could be less...
