ARCA General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 @ Pocono Raceway

I see Chicago does have $15 tickets (at least in advance on their site, not sure if they add fees onto that though). Just like with Xfinity and Truck tickets at the big tracks like that the best thing to do is buy the cheapest ticket you can find, and go sit wherever you want. Most of the seats...

ARCA General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 @ Pocono Raceway

Even most of the short track races are $20 or $25 buying tickets from the track, and they sell discount tickets at Menards (for most of the short track races that have Menards locations in the region) for $15 or $20 in advance. Went to the Toledo race a couple of weeks ago with the $15 menards...

    World of Outlaws 2019

Really wanted to make it to the Nashville race this weekend. Even if it is a bit of a **** show, those (most likely) 1 time shows like this are neat. Some thing prevented me from going. I was hoping it would turn out better so that they may go back to Nashville for a second year... Oh well...

ARCA General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 @ Pocono Raceway

Would hate to see ARCA, K&N East & K&N West consolidated too much. ARCA has about 20 races, East and West Series each have 12 race weekends (though 2 of them are combination races, so 22 total events). Combining the 3 series, over 40 events, into 1 schedule... What happens to some of the great...

    World of Outlaws 2019

I hadn't heard of him before the weekend either. Went to the ASCOC race at Attica on Friday, he got 2nd there. Seems like it wont be long before he is in victory lane in a big race.

ARCA General Tire 150 @ Charlotte Motor Speedway

I like large fields, though I’m definitely not a fan of a race that has almost half of its distance ran under yellow. ARCA and K&N definitely do have some car count issues. The number of cars they are getting now would be OK if more of the cars were competetive. They get 18 to 20 car fields but...

ARCA General Tire 150 @ Charlotte Motor Speedway

I find that the big late model races I go to have good fields and are really wrecky until half the field gets taken out in crashes. I don’t like sitting there watching all of the laps go to waste under yellow. I much prefer the product that ARCA , k&n and Pintys put on... typically just good...

I went to my first CARS Tour race this year, at Ace Speedway. Good car count. Typical late model wreck fest...

ARCA General Tire 150 @ Charlotte Motor Speedway

Well, all of the races are actually on TV these days. About half on Fox Sports and half on MavTV. Lot of people still dont get Mav though. Will be interesting to see what happens in 2020, though based on the info out there, it may be less of a merger than you would think. Its more like some of...

    USAC 2019

Really bummed out that I couldn't make it out for the race today. Have been to the two 1 mile dirt tracks in Illinois as well as the already closed one in Syracuse. This one was really high on the bucket list of tracks to go to... Oh well... What a waste that they won't be having races there any...

The shortcomings of short track racing

Couple of big racing weekends in a row in Ohio. Last weekend WoO late models had 2 races scheduled (Wayne County got their race in, though Muskingum rained out) and ARCA at Toledo. 3 big All Stars races this week. Hopefully they get a decent weather weekend. I’m hoping to hit one of the ASCOC...

The shortcomings of short track racing

They only have 1 night of ASCOC this year. That is Sunday. ASCOC is also racing this week Friday at Attica and Saturday at Wayne County.

    ARCA at Toledo

Tickets were $15 at Menards. They had an autograph session where you could meet potential future stars such as Hailie Deegan, Ty Gibbs and receive free autographed cards from them. It wasn’t the greatest Toledo ARCA race in history. It was OK. For me, I’m only 90 min away. I had a better time at...

ARCA Sioux Chief 200 at 2pm

For whatever reason , when the BMR cars head east, they usually just aren’t super competitive, I’m not sure why that is. They did get a couple of wins with Kraus in the east. Usually Deegan has car issues. Even at south Boston, she started last on the grid because they couldn’t get her car...

ARCA Sioux Chief 200 at 2pm

The biggest wreck was early and took out Graf and Deegan. Tanner Gray also got some damage from that. Point leader Braden spun by himself into the wall and was out for the day. Chandler Smith won the race ahead of Ty Gibbs and Christian Eckes. Was rain shortened at around lap 150

    Stock Car Brasil

I've watched the series on and off, would really love to check out a race in person. Argentina has a couple of really awesome looking series as well!

What series would you rather attend at this point?

I think the WoO sprint shows are usually run fairly well, though I’ve seen plenty of badly ran ones. WoO late model shows tend to be not ran as smoothly as the sprints IMO. It’s rare that I see it, but when the big touring race is in town, I’d like to see more time limits set for the local...
