Bummer man...NASCAR really needs to take seasonal weather patterns into more consideration when making the early season schedule next season. Atlanta in mid-March? Bristol in early April? No bueno.
^The cars are too easy to drive. I like the new car except for the wider tires and, dare I say, single lug nut. The engine is a different issue entirely.
Bristol deserves to be accommodated if the weather's consistently a problem. Late April/early May seems about right for a mid-afternoon race in northeast Tennessee. Talladega can be moved up to late March/early April.
I'd support a dirt race in the Cup series as long as it doesn't take away from two Bristol concrete races. Easter is probably a good time for the season's first off-weekend as well.
I dislike the phrase but NASCAR should "stay in its lane" and stop trying to race in center city areas. It's not going to work well both for the fans or the industry in general.
^Maybe, I thought NASCAR was headed in the right direction last year. Now it seems like they've made a series of bad decisions starting with the Chicago street course announcement.
