    SILLY SEASON 2019

Yes because it's completely normal for teams to raise the prices of being a satellite so high that they know they won't be able to exist anymore. Look for Penske to do this to the Wood Brothers next year, and HMS to charge Ganassi 10x the amount he charges now for engines so they won't be able...

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Darlington

Hmmm.. I remember this almost identical incident very well from 2005 with Harvick. The roles were reversed, and Harvick reacted the exact same way as Chastain! Even kept pushing Kyle after they wrecked. He doesn't have much room to complain in my opinion.

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

I think you're equating talent to race wins, and that's fine, but you also have to take the downside with it if you're going to do that. Based of this, Kyle isn't even a top 10 driver in the cup series all time.

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

There's also the aspect of all those Xfinity and Truck races giving help to Kyle on Sundays though. Especially when the cars drove similar. Even Kyle has admitted many times that he runs those races so he can be better on Sunday. Kurt completely skipped the Xfinity series and very rarely has run...

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

That's your own subjective opinion, as is the idea of 'consistency' winning championships. It's been proven to be successful, but it's not the only way to do it. And coincidentally if there has ever been a format that doesn't require consistency, it's this one.

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

And you're consistently ignoring my point that championship threats evolve as the season goes on. Surely we don't see the top 3 going anywhere, but there is the potential for a few others to join them. To add substance to this point, would you rather be consistent over 10 races, 26, or 36? 36 is...

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

I never said it was a step upward. I also never said that he was on the same level as the big three as things currently stand. But what I did say is that his current performance does not preclude him from being a 'threat' for the championship by this year's end. "No matter what" leaves no room...

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

Kurt is 4th in points, the highest of any driver not in "the big three". Surely not championship level compared to those guys, but at least he's in the same ballpark. Some minor changes and he could be on their level. McMurray isn't even close to making the playoffs let alone fighting for a...

    SILLY SEASON 2019

You must be talking about the slip he had on the first lap at Texas because he actually held the lead for quite a while in the first Michigan race, and then again at New Hampshire. Varying strategies shuffled him out of the lead in those two races, and while the rain hindered his chances at...

It's not Kyle's fault, Toyota's just aren't meant to drive in oil like Fords

    2018 Darlington Throwbacks

Don't give up hope just yet, I think we'll be in for a sweet surprise come Homestead. If I had to guess I think they'll use the 2006 scheme symbolizing their first championship together, but I personally prefer the 2002-2005 one as well.

    2018 Pocono -- Gander Outdoors 400 - Pre-Race Thread

This is all Toyota's fault. Cole Pearn tricked most teams into bringing the wrong dimensions to the track!!

The OSS reads light colors differently dark colors

We're not talking about how it reads, we're talking about how it scans. The software is only as good as what the machine gives it, and the machine is the one being tricked, not the software. That would imply that they're changing the information after it's received. But they're not. They're...

I still don't understand why people knock him for the jet dryer ordeal. Not even 1% his fault.

    2018 Sonoma -- TOYOTA/SAVE MART 350 - Pre-Race Thread

Totally agree, should've at least been an honorable mention. He was always at the front much like Ambrose, just didn't have the wins.

    2018 Sonoma -- TOYOTA/SAVE MART 350 - Pre-Race Thread

I definitely think that's a good portion of it. Technological advancements have made it easier to develop skills that were once very hard to find.
