    State of the sport

They haven't been used since the 2011 600, maybe during the 2012 600 they had some of the seats filled, but it was like 1/8th the seats. Gotta raise those ticket prices!

What about Cup tickets? Just wondering as I'm thinking about going to a race this year, not phoenix as its over 2k miles from me but I just want a ballpark of what a ticket costs now a days. Only reason I said that is because the ISC is obsessed with increasing ticket prices...

    Greatest/Favorite Race of all time.

Simple question. What do you all think? For me its got to be either the 2000 Winston 500, 2001 EA Sports 500, 2003 Dodge Dealers 400, or 2007 Daytona 500.

People don't like cars anymore, simple as that.

Bubba Wallace Jr. to Roush Fenway Racing?

Sponsorship will always be an issue if he's on a 2/3 car team. Even with a team with loads of cash like JRM/Hendrick its difficult. I would love to see Bubba get a full time ride, I love the guy.

Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Drivers in Nascar that are younger than me, I feel very uncomfortable... Erik Jones that is.

    2015 Predictions?

My only predictions: Chase brings just as much if not more chaos than this year... Us, and every hardcore fan will be complaining about the system...

Keselowski Says Truck Team Lost $1 Million

Will I known for sure the ratio of car cost to average purse hasn't gotten better. Its definitely become much more difficult to run teams without sponsorship since 06/07. Anyways, I did some research on this and found that Cup cars can cost between 300k and 1 million, this is pretty...

NASCAR Encourages TV Networks to Stream Races

I dont really think this is a big deal, there are tons of websites that people broadcasts streams of the races live. Most of them aren't HD quality, but most people don't that kind of internet anyways so its not a big deal. Also, this wouldn't be such a big deal if they weren't putting races...

NASCAR Encourages TV Networks to Stream Races

I agree, why would I want to make a weekend out of a race when it only last for 2 and a half hours or even 3 hours. The only race I would consider going to that's outside my region is something like the Coke 600, or a Superspeedway race simply because I think its more racing for the money. I...

Keselowski Says Truck Team Lost $1 Million

The inability for NASCAR to increase purse money in relation to skyrocketing expenses everwhere else is the cause for this. No teams make profit in NASCAR bar Hendrick, Penske and maybe Stewart Haas without heavy heavy sponsorship income. Does anyone know how much a Cup or Xfinity car cost...

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

Passing points aren't necessary, these are race car divers, who race, they dont need encouragement to try and win. I really think an issue here is Sprints lack of play in the sport, as the title sponsor, they dont really do anything. Heck they are a wireless company, they should provide the...

Ryan Blaney focusing on Cup in 2015

All organizations are bad at developing talent, part of the reason this is the first year in quite a while that there is a notable rookie. Or it could just testement how talented the current generation of drivers is. It seems the same guys have been running up front for the last 10 years, with...

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

Here is the article on why a dirt track will probably never make it back onto the schedule, starts about 1/2 way down with the Tony Stewart bit http://www.sbnation.com/nascar/2014/7/25/5937957/2014-nascar-indianapolis-motor-speedway-2015-schedule-television-ratings-attendance Completely agree...

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

I wonder what the attendance statistics are for night races vs. day races are. If there is some backing that night races are attended better then it would be a good move. Although, I dont think that night races are good for TV in the summer and spring. The fall is a different story because of...

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

Ah yes, the Green Police aka the no fun police... I never really thought it was that big of a deal in their eyes. There have been big moments in that interest recently, much bigger movements than street cars have made in the same amount of time.

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

Dirt races will never happen, the largest dirt track in the US only has a capacity just over 20,000, which would be puny for a cup race. I think there is an article about this somewhere, and why it wouldn't be beneficial for either Nascar, the Owners, or TV to have a race at a place like...

Simple question. However, what can they do, other than the "improve competition" idea?

    Fender Flares in 2015

If they dont do anything about it over the off season, its going to have to get completely out of control before they do anything about it during the season.
