2017 NASCAR Season - Television Ratings Thread

No one likes the hear the bitter TRUTH. I love this sport after my friend introduced me to it in 2009, but the truth HURTS. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

I'd rather know I'm in a building that's about to collapse than not. Finding out after it's happened is not a good solution for me. 43% and 45% from peak (as Skoal pointed out) is a COLLAPSE to me. If your 401K or bank account did that, I'd hope you'd be at least, concerned.

Last time I went, it was $30 to park at MetLife Stadium. I heard it was $100 to park in Dallas. I hope some Texan can prove me wrong. If not, that's ridiculous.

I believe you are correct that NASCAR sacrificed much of it's soul and character in it's pursuit of the Big Three Sports. NASCAR needs to follow the NHL's model: grow your base but stay inside the zone of fan comfort that defines your sport. Don't change your core to appeal to outsiders who...

    HMS unveiling 2018 Camaros

While not the best scheme (it's actually pretty plain) I, as a Lowe's Pro Services worker, cannot wait to see it on the track.

Don't get me started on commercial sales at Lowe's (especially the online ordering.)

I would legitimately like to know your opinion on Jimmie Johnson and his "Chase Championships" as compared to Petty, Earnhardt, etc.? Serious query wanting your honest outlook.

What NASCAR loses when Dale Earnhardt Jr. retires

I thought it was a great piece about Junior. His honesty and genial nature will be greatly missed. http://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/14627/what-nascar-loses-when-dale-earnhardt-jr-retires

Great perspective. The kid will be alright. It's just a really painful lesson right now but it may drive him even harder to be more successful in the future. Sometimes, failure is needed to pave the way for great success. Danica would kill for five top 2 finishes.

Within two seasons, we may crack the 1 million barrier and Monster may very well leave the "sport." It's almost unimaginable, but a few of us saw it coming. Nice job, Brian, Lesa and whoever else is behind presiding over the decline of a once great sport.

so....who WINS the first MONSTER cup?

Truex, either Kyle, Brad or Jimmie would each be a worthy Champion in their own way. Heck, I can even see Harvick pulling it off and...that's why we watch.

NASCAR community is generous but so are others. J.J. Watt helped to raise well over $30 MILLION in Hurricane Harvey Aid.

Sad, but true. I get a ribbing today when I pull out my $15 non-smart phone at work. The sad part of it all, is these fools have a incredible computer in their pockets and don't even know how to utilize it. We put Neil and Buzz on the the Moon in 1969, but they can't do the simple things today.

I hope he sponsors something, I haven't been to an NHRA race in a LONG time time but it's amazing. I hope he signs a check to help out.

Jimmie's the best. Not my favorite driver but a legend, for sure. I've only attended 8 NASCAR Cup races. Jimmie has won 4 of them...mostly at Dover.
