I thought they were due before qualifying :( I was going to pick Harvick.

    RCR and their future

Unlike other seasons, RCR had no speed this season. Newman altered his driving style to suit that at season's end.

Which racetrack do you want off the cup schedule?

David Reutimann hit the rev limiter qualifying at Dover once. So Dover is too long?

    RCR and their future

I think Austin Dillon is the future. 2 tenths of a second is the difference between running 1st and 15th every week. Over time, Austin will learn how to pick up a tenth of a second. It's no secret that RCR had an off year this year, so I think at some point their equipment will improve enough...

Jeff Gordon to retire after 2015 season

That's the only thing that's got me still looking forward to 2015.

Jeff Gordon to retire after 2015 season

This is the first I'm commenting on Jeff's impending retirement. Since I was 3 years old, I've been a Jeff Gordon fan. 14 years later, I'm still a Jeff Gordon fan. I'm not surprised by the announcement, but it did hit me pretty hard nonetheless. Honestly I don't know if watching Nascar will...

    Testing Ban is Stupid

I wonder if a Cup team can provide a car to an ARCA team so the ARCA team could test it? I know the chassis aren't the same but there wouldn't be an obvious way of knowing which chassis is being tested.

Who's Ty Dillion? Ryan Blaney will finish 2nd or better in at least one of his Cup starts.

    CHASE talk goes here ----

While Kevin Harvick did in fact win the championship with the rules in place, his championship does feel less legitimate than anyone else's that I can ever remember. I think Nascar had a home run with the system in place from 2011-13. It was still a legitimate way of determining a championship...

    2014 Silly Season Thread

It'd be pretty stupid to split up Denny Hamlin and Darian Grubb. Those two together are pretty fast, Hamlin's 2012 championship hopes were ruined by a $20 part failing at Martinsville, otherwise he would've been right there. In 2013 obviously Hamlin got injured. In 2014 Toyota as a whole was...

    Old Chase threads

If this had been the rule this year, the 6 best cars all season would've been duking it out at Homestead. We would have the winningest driver, the guy with the best Chase, the guy with the best overall season, the fastest car all year, the Daytona 500 champion, and the defending series...

    The real championship thread

I myself am a Gordon fan, I base every argument based on facts. STATISTICALLY had Gordon finished worst case scenario, 4th at Texas due to Brad not wrecking him in this alternate universe I'm setting up, he'd have been clear by 25 points today and easily headed to the championship round along...

    The real championship thread

If it weren't for missing a race plus the 75 point penalty given to him after Indianapolis, Hamlin would be about 8th in total points scored. His season hasn't been bad at all statistically.

    Texas RACE thread

I've never been happier to see Jimmie Johnson win a race, just so Brad Keselowski didn't win. It's sad though, Keselowski was going to become my favorite driver whenever Jeff Gordon retired. That is, until he started acting like a bitch. Think spring of 2013.

No. 9, not in Chase Elliott's future

The car number that Chase gets completely depends on who's car he takes over. He'll either get the #5 or the #25 if he takes over for Gordon. He MAY get the #94 instead of the #25 if he takes over for Gordon. No way Hendrick uses a special number for Chase, except for possibly the #94.
