That’s not what I’m saying, the NFL designates how they pay those with franchise tags based on the average of the top 3 or 5 players at each position. So TE and WRs positions are different in pay scales when it comes to the franchise tag. A player has to have a designated position, so a TE...

Risky, but they could be trying the approach seattle took a few years ago. Took a chance on a rookie qb with a small salary and spent money elsewhere on the team that would normally be spent on a QB. When it was time for that first big contract with the QB, they adjusted their approach.
