Ryan Blaney is a fraud - And I Hate Him

You got me. Same ****** guy who backs into every ****** win he ever ****** gets, backs into another ****** win! No. Being in position to capitalize counts as something. What I’m saying is he capitalizes in some crucial moments, but I’ve noticed he struggles to put together complete races...

Ryan Blaney is a fraud - And I Hate Him

A win is a win… is a win. Right. I ain’t taking a swipe at your boy; another way one could interpret it is that he always wins under some crazy, exciting circumstances. I should know… Roval ‘18 is a bit of a haunting memory. Either of my guys could’ve won; neither did.

    Cup RACE thread --- Talladega

For all of the talk about Chase supposedly having a down year, he’s actually been looking really good when he’s been on track. He probably has one of the best average finishes, and maybe most top tens (percentage-wise) out of races entered. Even in the ones he didn’t land a finish up there, he’s...

Ryan Blaney is a fraud - And I Hate Him

You know, there is something to be said about how Blaney almost always seems to win under these circumstances. If Truex is the type of guy to win dominant, “boring” races, then Blaney has to be the antithesis to that. It seems like he almost always just squeaks by with one when he wins.

    Truck RACE thread --- Talladega

I’ve seen that type of thing in person. It’s a low-brow move, especially in this context.

    2023 Grand Prix Of Japan

I notice this too. He recognizes that he’s up against his childhood idol and one of only two 7-time world champions. This fuels a desire to prove he’s the faster guy. So yeah, team player isn’t a real attribute of his.

William Byron is the best driver in NASCAR

Best driver currently? You could fairly pose that argument. Best driver of this generation? Let’s wait and see. He’s got two Cup champion team-mates. Besides them and the rest of his generation, there’s a few more guys with a Cup title or more to their names. Odd season as far as how he’s come...

    Denny Hamlin Appreciation Thread

The thought of Brian France in a firesuit somehow finding his way to the trophy in the same universe as myself is a worrisome thought. You know what, that’s probably my own equivalent to WhiningSmoke’s Tyler Reddick phobia.

    Nascar Craftsman Truck Series 2023

I am wondering the same thing. Harsh. He was elevating that team.

RIP Sherry, you absolute hero. Exemplary life, fantastic character.

Chase Elliott is literally the worst, and nobody cares

Tyler B+ Cha3e Who will be next on WhiningSmoke’s hit list?

What is the point of the sprint race in 2023?

MotoGP hosts them at every single event. I’m not too wild about the concept.

The credibility of your high school and college merits remain intact. Any plans to send Kyle Larson a Christmas present?

CUTTING THROUGH THE bull****....WHO WINS THIS THING?

All fairly good points in this thread. How about Keselowski's playoff outlook? His team-mate has gone out and won races, and Kez has been in the playoffs scenario plenty of times before. I don't find it difficult to fathom seeing him strike up some "surprises."

    Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

Insane stuff from Buescher. He had to wait forever to get back into victory lane, then goes and does what he’s done this last month. I’m with you guys in thinking that he’s the dark horse contender. Genuinely feel for Preece. He and the whole SHR bunch were looking like having a banner night on...

    Ty Gibbs Appreciation Thread

While the ethics behind his entry into the main JGR fold will forever be under scrutiny, I think he’s proven the investment to be worthwhile. I also expected more fireworks, but he’s had a solid if not a bit of an unspectacular campaign so far. Some of the tracks that he’s returning to have...

Cup RACE thread --- Indy road course

It’s been pretty strange not seeing Ford as a whole really factor in for much of the year. Then, just like that, you get two Chris Buescher wins followed up by a Michael McDowell win. Enjoy it Ford fans, y’all have had some good guys parking it lately.
