Well the brakes were going to be changed sooner or later. The old brakes did not last for an entire road course race. Although I will agree that they need to make the tires narrow again, but I don't see Goodyear going for that.

Honestly I actually enjoyed it. It may not be the most "exciting" race but the green flag runs allowed for different pit strategy to play out and it allowed us to see who was better at taking care of their stuff.

Honestly this is closer to "old school" than NASCAR has been for awhile. The only race this year that's also been "old school" was the All-Star race at North Wilkesboro.

Don't worry, this only applies to road courses, for now. I really want NASCAR to apply it to every race though.

LOL, they threw a yellow for an uncontrolled tire in pit row, but not for Austin Dillon spinning around. NASCAR and inconsistent yellow, name a more iconic duo.

Yea, I think 110 laps around Sonoma is the right length.

I could be wrong (most likely am) but I think on some road course series, they have localized yellow on the course and only save the full course caution for when on-track safety is a concern (like a wrecked car and they have to use the wrecker). NASCAR should look into this.

I really like this "no stage break" racing. NASCAR should consider expanding it to all the races on the schedule. Keep the stage points and the lap to distribute them, just get rid of the caution.
