    Brian France on Sirius Radio

IMO, Brian was on the radio to put his spin on things but it didn’t make sense. He framed his departure like he was a father leaving a company in good shape to his son. I think this is the last time we hear from Brian unless he gets into trouble again.

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

That is a very good point. Any of us civilians can stomp our feet and have a hissy about NASCAR. Bottom line is that if the TV people and other partners are happy that’s all that counts.

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

So much changed this year with race broadcasts that I think that NASCAR should be happy with the ratings Fox got. NASCAR had adversity with weather and a condensed schedule but should have benefited from having no competition. Would the numbers have been about the same had NASCAR run a normal...

Just want to say hello and thanks for letting me sign up

Glad I found this thread and am thankful to be here. I’m just getting my feet wet as there are so many different subjects and choices to post on. I liked reading the forum but it will be nice for me to chip in my 2 cents here and there. Thank you again.

Car numbers on rear quarter panels

My preference is to leave things as they are but I won’t be heartbroken if it is changed. This is not something that will fundamentally change things as the current package has so I will pick my battles.

Kez speaks out on his wreck

I think there are 2 separate issues. One is Brad the driver and no one can deny his skills on track as you don't win over 30 races and a championship because you are lucky. I think the second issue is Brad the commenter and unless you are a fan his comments can come off a hypocritical...

    2021 Silly Season

I think Bubba and all the extra curricular noise surrounding him would be too much for Rick Hendrick. Also I think that there will be better drivers available for the 48 car.

    Practice/No Practice Thread

I'm fine with no practice or qualifying especially if it saves the teams money.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

I wasn’t expecting this news but just like cars in a race there will be comers and goers among the tracks. We have heard all sorts of things from less races to double header weekends to different tracks and at this point I don’t think NASCAR has a handle on it. My opinion is that the closure of...

    The Announcers Thread

I always thought Carl Edwards did a good job too.

Kez speaks out on his wreck

I think Tony called David Ragan a dart without a feather when he first started out. There will always be a learning curve and the guy that gets wrecked will always be mad. NASCAR has ignored numerous situations where a driver has intentionally wrecked or spun a competitor so just have a chat...

    The Announcers Thread

No offense meant to the guys that like the NBC booth but they are awfully shrill to me. They also get all worked over small things and I find them to be distracting. I usually watch the race with the volume on low and turn it up when something is happening.

Mark Martin on use of PJ1

Thanks a lot for the welcome. I sure see the other side of the PJ1 argument. I just think NASCAR needs to use all it can to put on a good show especially right now.

Mark Martin on use of PJ1

I’ll cut the tracks some slack on using PJ1. With so many variables tracks can’t reconfigure every time there is a change so you do the next best thing.
