Truck races were actually up overall from last year

Smoke's win, the Daytona 500 finish, and Jimmie getting 7.

That's a great number considering the ratings for the other Chase races. Probably the second highest rated finale of the decade.

I don't care much for this but it's clearly a huge deal for Toyota and TRD. They've come a long way from being a laughing stock 9 years ago.

I'll say it again it's not fair to discredit Jimmie (or whoever the champion may be), their team, and their sponsors. They performed when they most needed to, Harvick didn't. If he and his team didn't choke at Martinsville maybe he would've won, but it's moot.
