That's cool. But then it should be applied to the entire field including seeding. Do Boise State and Arizona State get byes if we compare who would win a game between them and Ohio State, Texas, or Notre Dame?

Guilty. But less about them running roughshod over the country and more about them getting preferential treatment by the committee.

The runner/receiver signaling first down was cool when Michael Irvin did it 30 years ago. I would be fine if I never again see a player do that or a defensive player signal incomplete. :owquitit:

Thanks for posting that. I can never grasp the definition of targeting but it's clear the helmet contacted the facemask. At a minimum it was face tackling. 'Course I don't know if face tackling is illegal in college like it is in high school.

I didn't see it. Was it facemask to the breast plate of the shoulder pads? That's how a friend described it.

The NCAA is powerless. The Big Ten and SEC call the shots now. They have gotten so big that they could drop out of the NCAA and start their own league. Other leagues would follow and the NCAA would be left in the field holding their unit. The NCAA knows it.

How can you not love this guy?
