    Did they lead the first 243 laps? If not then that's not the answer to the question I asked. Ned led 62 laps. 23 lead changes. I asked if anyone LED the way Byron did... 243 laps is is 181 more laps than 62. The most anyone led in that race you mentioned was 199. Difference of 44 laps. So...

    Then that would greatly explain it. If you aren't anywhere you could just see it in passing, then I can understand not knowing him. They are sports I don't watch, but names I know just by seeing them all over Facebook, or Television. But I would have no idea who they were without all that.
