Whenever I watch the Switzerland Beach Volleyball team play I can't help picturing the country. Just doesn't scream "beach volleyball". :)

Saw her on one of the race broadcasts a few weeks ago and she did seem very genuine. Nothing flashy, just happy to be there and serious about racing. Always good to see new talent coming into the sport.

Not really into Summer Olympics like I am the Winter Olympics so I look for things that are different and might be entertaining. Today I watched some cross country horse event and was amazed to see the horse and rider lasting around 9 minutes trotting and jumping over various obstacles.

Well, that just ruined a "feel good" ending to the race.

I see I was clueless of what "handball" was. Thought it was gonna be a couple of guys playing against a wall but it turned out to be a stupid team sport running up and down a court.

I used to play handball all the time back in high school. So much fun. Then I tried racket ball and sucked at it. Couldn't coordinate the racket with the ball.

Race 2 was mostly boring but I was glad it was a clean race compared to the carnage in race 1 and then........ Sheesh! Glad they all seemed ok.

That was a hard race to watch. Too many commercials, too many wrecks, no flow. Happy with the outcome. Sure hope today is better. Has to be....I think.

After Bubba got married he seemed to be a bit more mellow and I thought with a baby on the way he'd become even more level headed but now I'm not too sure.
