    Cup RACE thread --- Texas

A half dozen really good cars had issues and finished at the back today, yet the 9 could still only manage a 16th? What the hell is going on with this team

Anyone but Logano. Seriously, anyone else in the top 10 would be fine. Screw the 22

He saved it. So why throw the yellow? Oh that's right, because NASCAR officiating is incompetent

You're talking to the king of hyperbole. Just consider the source and take it with a grain of salt lol

    Rainbow or Flame?

Yeah, all of the Dupont/Axalta schemes looked great. Even some of the one-offs like the flat black Imron and the white/blue Standox looked really good. Hell, all the Pepsi and most of the AARP schemes looked good too. Other than the original Nicorette car (before they switched to the flames)...

    Rainbow or Flame?

The old pics of both paint schemes really don't showcase just how great the colors looked in person....

    Rainbow or Flame?

Yep, rainbow. The flames looked nice too, though. Including the later black version. All of the Dupont designs were great thanks to Sam Bass

An extra spoiler shim? Ticky tack, but sure, OK, whatever. Missing one of the 18 spoiler bolts? Really?? How's this possibly worthy of a DQ?

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Talladega

Thank God for that yellow, otherwise all the drivers would have kept racing a mile after the checkered flag, and some safety worker could have been in danger!!!!

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Talladega

NASCAR has no idea how/when to throw a yellow. There's never any logic behind it. But Sawyer will come out and say it was necessary so the fatty in the AMR pickup truck could put down his cheeseburger, slowly drive to the crash, and stroll his way over to the driver

So go ahead and send the safety truck while they are racing back to the line. What danger would they be in at that part of the track? And again, if seconds really mattered, why do they have these portly fellas "rushing" to the site of the wreck?

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Talladega

I understand driver safety should be the top priority, but would it really kill anyone to wait a few extra seconds? I'm guessing it wouldn't, otherwise they would hire athletic folks for the safety crew, not some fat tub of goo that typically gets to the crash first

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Talladega

They will try and justify it by saying it was for the safety crew to get to the 88 quicker, blah blah blah. What a joke
