I don’t think that is the root cause of the issue in this thread. It reminds me of old men when I was growing up not knowing about this new thing called “grunge.” NASCAR’s fan base skews older so even if it was 1995, most of us wouldn’t be in her target demo and would have little awareness of her.

I don’t see it any differently than partnering with any other scripted television show. No one pretends it’s real any more and hasn’t for a long time. It’s no different than Jeff Gordon hosting SNL (except for the level of prestige involved).

NASCAR needs to start penalizing some of this crap. Plate racing is legitimate racing but these yee haw antics are ruining it.

Stenhouse also has two Xfinity championships and Cope also has a Dover trophy. Both are weak arguments for demeaning the talent it takes to win at Daytona. A better argument would be Trevor Bayne.
