Me and the crew pulled an audible tonight, we skipped the dirt track to catch the truck race. I've never been to a NASCAR race at Daytona before so I'm pretty pumped to experience this. This track is beautiful at night.

I think Foyt may have my favorite driver lineup this year.

Watching the USAC guys here with the late models reminds me that I much prefer the format of the sprint cars. Inverting the top 6 in each heat is so much more entertaining to watch as a fan. And qualifying still matters for the feature so you can't completely sandbag. The speeds here at Volusia...

For the first time I'm attending the USAC Winter Dirt Games. I've been to Florida for the late model Winternationals before but with Eastbay being gone it's just not the same. Here for 2 night at Volusia and then 4 nights at Bubbas'. Rooting for my guy Ballou.

The irony of the rumor of Toyota being non-unionized is that they are heavily unionized in Japan, just not in the states. Although a few plants in the US have had UAW votes recently, they haven't passed.

Got home in time to see the awesome finish to that main. I thought Larson might get him at the end but CBell holds him off. Sucks for Axsom, he looked good out front.
