We were going to spend this Labor Day weekend at Daytona Beach having some fun, but with the projected stormy weather, cancelled everything this morning, no sense on driving up there if it will be rainy/stormy all weekend... :(

Yeah, it was one great celebration. I have an enormous respect for those guys, going so fast 2-3 wide, within inches from each other...it takes guts! It is not the same as seeing it on TV... :-)

Yes, it turned out perfect! I was at the lower start finish (section 148, row 6) and it was awesome to feel the cars go by at those speeds, followed by a silence, then the wind with rubber and some exhaust smell... :-)

Will be back there next year...made lots of new friends from all over...a truly amazing experience...

Ohh yes, I concur, rain threatened to make a mess out of it, but we enjoyed it a lot, and at night, DIS is awesome, first time ever, craving for more... :-)

Yes, totally agree, we have so much fun playing racing video games, I actually got us a fully loaded steering wheel+pedals setup. But one thing is watching in TV and another seeing it live, awesome experience, the speed, sounds, atmosphere...it's great! :-)
