I'm off this afternoon, and am off on Sundays starting next week.
I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing. I get to watch races live without the fear of spoilers, but I have to sit through commercials.
My prediction: Auto Club and at least two other tracks on this year's schedule will not be on next year's schedule when it's released.
On a similar note, I failed to vote in last year's poll before the deadline. Had I voted, my choice would've been tied with the prediction that ended up...
Big Hoss TV started airing nonstop commercials about 10 minutes ago. No commercials before that.
Cars are getting fired up!
...and Big Hoss finally stopped airing commercials.
Greetings from Texas Motor Speedway!
It barely sprinkled for a few minutes, then stopped.
A few minutes later, they stopped the race for lightning.
They told us to take shelter, but it's completely dry and nobody has seen lightning.
I know which bold prediction I'm voting for! (Even if any others come true, including mine.)
The prediction I thought was an absurd pipe dream that would never ever happen!
Oops! I picked Cole Custer at Kansas 2 after picking him at Darlington 1.
I put together most of my schedule at the start of the season. I've made a few changes to it since, but not to Darlington 1 or Kansas 2. I don't know how I managed to put Cole Custer twice and not notice.
Y'all are...
NASCAR returns to Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth this week!
As a reminder, Fort Worth is a metropolitan anchor with its own skyline:
Since the next race at Texas Motor Speedway will be a full year after this one (no spring race next year!), I'll post the Fort Worth skyline again so...
I'll go with a three.
TMS is ~20 minutes from my house. But, I worked earlier today, and I see the All-Star race as pointless. So, I didn't attend.
I'm so glad I didn't waste money or energy attending this joke... err, this race.
IMO, calling TMS a "masterpiece" is a bit of an exaggeration. It's a fairly nice facility, but the renovated Daytona is nicer. The track itself is nothing special.
That said, TMS' condo tower is cool.
It would be nice if they could say "Fort Worth" on occasion.
(I've only been watching intermittently. Perhaps they have. But, I have a feeling they haven't.)
