Notes for this week:
-Hamlin debuts FedEx Ground for the first time this year.
-Gordon debuts 3M for the first time this year.
-Sleek black Energizer scheme for Larson.
-Almirola debuts Fresh From Florida.
-Interesting black scheme for...
I think it's supposed to snow in my area on Monday so if they race gets postponed I may have the day off, but im getting really impatient for a race already.
Are there going to be ~5 cars gping home almost every week? Seeing 49 cars for the 500 is to be expected, but didn't know Atlanta would still have a lot. I guess either it'll start dissipating through the season or these qualifying sessions are gonna get interesting,
By late afternoon they should be able to get at least halfway on Sunday, but overall, doesnt look good, Monday through Wednesday next week have rain in the forecast too .-.
They banned teams from independent testing, NASCAR/Goodyear sanctioned tests are obviously allowed, they did the same thing at Las Vegas when the Gen 6 car was introduced.
I hope the new rule package brings good racing.
Having a double header on Saturday will be awesome, I remember Kyle Busch won both the XFINITY Race and the Truck Race in Fontana on the same day some years ago, 2009 i think?
Looking at the finishes from the Sprint Unlimited, and Budweiser Duel 1 & 2, if they raced back Kevin nor Dale were gonna get to Joey, it's been like this all week where the leader could pull away for a few car lengths and 2nd cant close up.
I like the Dillon brothers. They seem well mannered off the track, but im not too impressed with them on the track either, maybe they're late bloomers (Joey Logano)
There should be an adjusted rule for that, instead of the white flag, put a mark on the track where drivers must pass on the final lap to have it either restart again or run to the finish.
8, good race but nothing spectacular, first time 500 winner is always nice. I kinda wanted them to NOT throw the caution on the final lap as well, however, all week no one could even pass off turn 4, and Logano was pulling away.
