The restarts this year seem to get spread out really, really quickly, usually within the first lap. Anyone know why this is?

Looks like it the track will set the first 200 miles on "dishwater mode", with all the strung out racing and such.

Just a random thought here, but would nascar ever go back to it's "strictly stock" roots, with drivers driving cars straight from the showroom. Keep the races on short tracks, go back to the pre 2004 points system, the stock cars- that would be interesting.

For all the hate people give these races, was there ever a time when SS tracks like Dega and Daytona were worth watching?

How dega's advertisements should read next year: In 2007- 2012 we had tandem racing. The racing was great, never a dull moment, the finishes were thrilling, the # of lead changes for a race was shattered, underdogs were racing up there with the weekly contenders, and we STILL produced the wrecks...

Plus, the flag man already had the flag in his hand when they started wrecking. Nothing you can do about that.
