    Would this affect testing restrictions?

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

I never thought they were going anywhere. Didn't even really cross my mind as an actual thing that might happen. Just because they're being sued for monopolizing the industry doesn't mean someone else wants to enter the industry as competition.

Wait, more money than others' combined with access to better parts can cause a team to have an unfair advantage?! What? No waaaaaay! *sarcasm*

I'm not sure what you're on about. When did I say anything that has to do with anything you just said? I'm talking about the teams gaining an unfair competitive advantage in NASCAR by using parts that nobody else is using. Wait, you really thought that I meant they wanted to buy parts so they...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

Clearly none of us know what's going to happen... but I have a bad gut feeling about all of this that I can't seem to shake.

Ok so Im going to take this opportunity to inform you that I can no longer take you seriously in this discussion whatsoever.

But.. but.. but.. I swear I don't hate nascar.. its everyone else! How dare you use someone's own words against them.. what are you, some kind of r-effin lawyer? Lol

Why would they publicly state that? This^ And yeah, I think whether FRM ends up winning or not in this they lose. They may get a bit more money for their low finishing position but I'm pretty sure these guys also like to run well and develop good reputations rather than being an back marker...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

If anyone thinks these team owners aren't drooling at the idea of getting parts wherever they want you're absolutely insane. It may not be what this is all about but you could bet on the fact Joe Gibbs and Rick Hendrick are sitting back just rubbing their hands together with a big evil grin just...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

Has anyone mentioned the possibility of teams being able to use whatever parts they want causing lower funded teams to be much less competitive? Didn't we (in part) go to this system to lower costs for the teams? Have we not started seeing a lot of back markers start to run higher in the field...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

There are definitely people around here wishing the worst for NASCAR .. always has been. I've been confused for years about why certain posters even bother watching or following the sport at all. I've taken many several month long hiatus' from even bothering to come here at all over the last...

Absolutely agree. In the end all we really want is some good racing. No matter what opinion any of us have about any of this. We all share that trait.

I wonder if people are familiar with what is going on with drake vs UMG and Spotify. This whole thing gives similar vibes to me. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the end for both.

Yeah I do want to point out that I received information after saying that that I had not up to that point. It seems the other teams are in fact more on board than it seemed.

I get that.. but also the absence of evidence is not evidence. I'm probably wrong. Doesn't really matter though. Maybe I'm not. Maybe sometimes I bring up certain talking points just to make conversation. The main thing that is important for me in all of this is pretty simple.. if the 22...

What's your point? Is that supposed to change my opinion? Because it doesn't. Why does everyone need to act like these threads are being admitted in court? We're not lawyers and none of what we talk about here matters at all. Don't worry, Michael Jordan will still be rich and we won't be...

Oh right, I forgot that the definition means I can't ask questions. Your opinion of my question is much more irrelevant than the question itself. If you don't want to answer it then keep to yourself please. It's already been answered so I have no interest in your response at this point. I'm...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

My opinion has nothing to do with it. I didn't ask what antitrust means. My question was whether or not it would be possible for someone to start another, similar series.

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

This has taken an interesting turn. There's one thing Im curious about.. About NASCAR being the only premier stock car racing league. Is there anything stopping anyone from starting another one? If the answer is no, then what makes NASCAR a monopoly? Just the fact that it's the only one so...
