sounds a bit like jealousy to me,everybody wants their driver to be liked, unfortunately you can't force people to like you. But hey thats just my opinion and my experience!!

Been to races for years( since the mid 60's) , And there is and was no reaction like when Dale Sr., Gordon, Petty, Pearson, Wallace and a handful of others took the lead or made a great pass.Its that way because more people like them.
