    Silly Season 2023

Official clarification of my stances: I trust Forbes more than FJM but also think Cup teams make less money than DIDIT does. My likes do not always = full endorsements of posts. Best regards, LJ7201 team

    Silly Season 2023

I thought it was common knowledge that on some given years the big teams lose money. Tried to find where I read it but IIRC the 48 team operated in the red for several seasons. With the ebbs and flows of the sport there's no way some owners haven't "lost" money. Even the juggernaut teams. Now...

    ESPN in the game

FWIW the NHL going from NBC Sports to ESPN and TNT have improved the viewer experience by quite a lot. Rights to live sports are a huge deal and I think if Nascar returned to ESPN they'd do well with it. ESPN presentation has an "it" factor that NBC doesn't. NBC works for like the Tour de France...

This is a good point and I wonder if there's more profitable events they could put on throughout the year.

    Silly Season 2023

1 more car than a lot of teams at or even above their performance level ended up with. Don't get me wrong the Toyota jokes and ongoing banter on here about them between you and your nemesis entertains me a lot, but I respect them swallowing their pride and getting creative with this. Sure it...

Smart move. JTG Daughertey always seems more "sponsored" than their close peers. Never knew who was behind it.

Hate to say I told you so.........

When did we as rednecks/hicks get so insecure? I mean come on. Projecting shame about the way tires get fastened to cars?

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

I haven't noticed that personally. Members of team complainers and team complain about the complainers both come from all ages. People here change teams depending on whatever is being discussed as well. With the change vs tradition stuff I can confidently say that without the schedule changes...

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

You're right and in fairness to yall who don't like the change - I do also think it's kinda funny NASCAR saw fans complain about not enough passing, cars too spread, etc and their solution was so comically extreme. You'd imagine they would have tried a few more moderate changes but nope lol.

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Gotta feel for the poor NASCAR fan opinion research guy who's tasked with reading this board. Not sure how they're meant to explain to the higher ups that fans think the cars are too close and pass for the lead too much after years of fans complaining that the cars are too far apart and don't...
