    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

I think if Texas gets reconfigured it won't be New Atlanta 2.0, because every post France era schedule change has reduced redundancy. Also Atlanta probably would have sucked post inevitable repave. Thats just a guess tho because it is a new car. Bottom line is even if this track became...

It's nice not having 3 identical and boring tracks in 3 of the biggest markets for the sport

I'm the biggest Herbst hater you'll find but I can't really blame him there. Broken car in front of him, getting a push from behind

So cool. Never knew how curious I was about how a stock car would do there until this was announced😂

What do you think of the NextGen Car?

100%. Things really have turned around since then. This car has been a lot of fun. I missed attrition and struggle. Gen 6 was fun early but tapered off over the years for me.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

If Texas isn't good with this new car I really would like it to be reconfigured. That market needs a fun track.

NOOO Well the field gets a chance this week I guess. Noah gragson will be back even stronger next week so hopefully they enjoy this moment while it lasts.

Hate to say I told you so.........

A lot of these are specific circumstances though so it's probably not what you mean. The 2004 Kurt Busch Homestead one was crazy because if it fell off a bit earlier then Jimmie might have won that title.

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

I want it once per year as well but I think it fits the ASR more than the clash. I'm honestly game for this too. Maybe have the clash at an established track and the ASR as a yearly stadium event or something. Either way I'm glad NASCAR showed they aren't complacent with events like the Clash...

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

We need it. Anyway to circle back to the stadium thing the way I see it is every stadium race won't be the huge national story the first one was, but it will be huge for whatever stadium and city it's in. Plus am easy way to tap in to markets that wouldn't approve a permanent track in a...

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

It's still really cool and a big deal for whatever team gets to host it. Every outdoor game gets huge crowds even as an annual thing. If Columbus ever got an outdoor game it would be huge for the area. The novelty of anything wears off eventually but I think putting the ASR in stadiums is...
