There isn't really a convincing negative spin that's worth getting worked up over

    2022 Silly Season

For a midpack 2 car team they could do a lot worse than Ty Dillon and Erik Jones. I'm excited to see how they do.

Does it really matter what the car is?

To me the new schedule changes was one of the biggest things that improved entertainment value.

    Dale jr podcast

Every driver wants whatever benefits themselves the most. It's cool to hear the differing stances they all take but from a fan's perspective and a "what's best for the car/the sport" perspective we indeed shouldn't hang on to every word of any one guy.

Which NASCAR driver are you thankful for?

Denny Hamlin He got Michael Jordan directly involved with NASCAR, which eventually led to them co-owning a team that gives two of my favorite a solid ride.

Where would Larson have finished in the 42 car this season?

His playoff ceiling would have been the same. He could have made the final four and anyone who makes it can win it. The playoff floor would be a lot lower though. By having a far worse car and having to push it far harder he'd be liable to even get bounced first round if things don't break right.

    Favorite Driver and Why?

In no particular order Bowman, Byron, Elliott, Wallace, Kurt Busch, Blaney, Cindric... all pretty equal I don't root for Kyle Busch or Kyle Larson per se but I am grateful to watch them race. Despite Hamlin jokes being hilarious to me I don't really mind the guy mainly because of his connection...

    2022 Silly Season

From my biased perspective the "crew carries driver" movement among some fans was a way to justify Jimmie Johnson whooping their favorite guys every Sunday, and later on Truex doing the same. Give either of those crews a driver who isn't elite then those results don't happen.

    2022 Silly Season

I think so. Larson in the 42 then the "48" and *swallows pride* how late career Jimmie did recently with that same team is an extreme example. Results tell me that among the good teams the biggest variable that separates guys is the driver.

    so why the la coliseum?????

It's something that's never really been done before, and at a venue that's already famous on its own. Racing there has a huge novelty factor that can't be found at other locations. I don't really know what to expect racing quality wise but I'm excited for it just to see what happens. If it's...

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

I didnt think of that. That's a good point. Will have to see how that plays out. Thankfully NASCAR has shown they'll adapt one way or the other to put on a better show.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

Agree to disagree. I always thought fans deserved better than the oval races there. Besides the wild race Kasey Kahne won I can't remember any fun races there and that was only fun due to chaos. Maybe it's my memory failing me but I'm glad NASCAR was willing to change that to the RC

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

There's a group that complains regardless of what's being done. The old big wigs are ever so out of touch with the common man etc.. I don't think you are part of that group. When I see complaints about the "sacred Brickyard 400" being screwed with that's where I draw the line. If NASCAR can't...

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

If these schedule changes weren't being made then the "traditionalists" would be whining about all the cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks staying around
