The ironic thing is with the Gen 6 car, road courses and short tracks were good. The 1.5-mile tracks were not. Now the Gen 7 car has flipped it, great on 1/2-mile tracks and not good on short tracks and road course.

I was under the impression Fox and others shoot with 4K cameras and downscale it to 1080p. We went to some of the NCAA Tournament games and sat next to some of the cameras. They were all 4K cameras. That doesn't mean that's how it's coming into the truck. I know when Prime has showed highlights...

The road courses have been underwhelming except for the last couple of COTA races.

Not to mention ESPN will interview coaches and players in the middle of basketball games. And CBS/Turner also interviews coaches during NCAA Tournament games. Most of those bring nothing of substance. Same for these grid walks.

The NFL isn't giving up that option with the Sunday Ticket until they no longer make enough money from it. The thing I hate about this being Prime's race is no more 4K/1080p broadcasts. Max may have it that way. But I'm not paying extra to have a better picture.

I have to say Prime missed the boat on some things yesterday. One, they didn't keep viewers updated on progress of repairs to Kyle Busch's and Kyle Larson's cars. Two, they needed a graphic on the ticker to distinguish between cars on slicks and those on rain tires.

And I thought the logistical nightmare with this race would be with the haulers and them being protected, not the drivers and other team members not being able to get out of Charlotte.

I thought they got good info from Trevor Bayne. I don't know if that was given to him or he came up with it himself. Fox just has the pit reporters repeat what's on the scanners.

Or they'll be a settlement. Neither organization can afford to run as non-charter teams because of the money NASCAR won't have to hand over to them.
