How on Earth can you call the Chase "a lottery"?

To me this format is a lottery simply because there are too many things that can go wrong in just a few races that will knock out good teams that have shown over the long term they can do very good. Especially with multi car teams and sat teams tied to them it is fairly easy for them to hold up...

    Should Tony Stewart Be Parked?

When the driver admits intention and it is showing a trend and it causes a big wreck behind them that wads up several cars that were trying to get into the chase then I think it warrants it. Nascar has taken drivers to the hauler and had a sit down with them for a long time.

Would Removing the track bar help the Aero Package?

The problem with that is then the cars will be easier to get airborne, so they are safety innovations. I would agree with making the shock and springs more by the crews than Nascar. I would also think it would be helpful to make the track bar only adjusted by the pit crew and not by the driver...

Would Removing the track bar help the Aero Package?

Nascar has been doing that for ages. However placing a limit on how much money each can spend would be impossible to enforce.

Would Removing the track bar help the Aero Package?

Maybe just not make the track bar adjustable from inside?

    Should Tony Stewart Be Parked?

I would think that it would be fair to park him. He admitted that he did it and to me Ryan didn't have a choice in the last case since the 19 was pushing him. Right now it appears that Tony thinks that since he is done he can do what he wants.

I'm already sick of the chase and it hasn't started yet.

I didn't like the original chase and hate this one even worse. The new version is a accident waiting to happen especially on the last race before the points are set. Once the Chase starts it is more or less like Kev said in that you are going to do whatever is needed for you to advance and...

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

I don't know. Kind of a toss up between Matt and Denny. Maybe it is a good thing they are on the same team so they can have group hugs and pass around the tissues.

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

It looked to me that Tony should have looked at the replays before blaming Newman so much. The 19 was pushing on the corner of Newman so he didn't have much choice. I'd kind of hope that the drivers of the cars he took out have a talk with Tony about HIS driving.

    Netflix Recommendation Thread

Even my wife likes the ranch and that surprised me. I'm not a fan of Kutcher but in this setting I've enjoyed him.

    Throw back weekend.

I had a 72 Corolla and it was one of the best cars I ever had. The boss's daughter had a Vega and it was POS. There was a reason why they didn't stay in production.

    Hugh O'Brian Dies at 91

I think he is about the last of the old western leading men. But I still have the reruns to see him on from time to time. RIP

    fire

I'm guessing that the insurance will take care of the rebuilding and the smoke smell. Many years ago we had friends that had a fire and the insurance company paid them for taking the clothes and washing them and I think that they can paint over the walls to seal in the smell. But yeah smoke...

    Dale Earnhardt Jr.

I don't think if Jr. doesn't come back it will make all that much of a difference. There are some good young drivers coming up and most will just start shopping for another to root for. Maybe an established one or one of the new ones. Whether he stays or retires is his final decision, but I'm...

Back to a manual transmission - wow

The last car I got I ruled out the CVT models from the get go. However I haven't had a manual tranny for years. For me it got to be a real pain in the rear driving one in town.

    fire

Glad that you are OK, but I doubt that you've done anything that most haven't done at some time, except this time it did go up in flames. The kitchen can be rebuilt, people can't.

    Dale Earnhardt Jr.

I would like to see Jr continue if he wants to, but he does seem to be having a lot harder time dealing with the results this time. To me unless the doctors can say that the next bad hit won't cause anything worse he should retire while he still can enjoy his life. He has the money, woman and...

    Cable cutters, rejoice

We have Cox here and they have the rights for the showing of local games of the university. No way around it for a novice like me. Son he knows of a way but it is kind of a pain.

Should more road courses be added to the Cup Series calendar?

I definitely would like to see at least one more road course added and one needs to be in the Chase. I would wonder with a sprint cup car how well they would do at a place like Daytona going from the high banks to a infield road course though. I'd like to see one of the plate races...

Self-Driving Cars are here: Implications for racing?

I can't see it as far as racing, but I guess it is possible. For regular use I can't see it, but my youngest son can't wait for the day that we have self driving cars.
