SVG is amazing. He was struggling in practice in the 20's, then on the last lap goes to the top of the board. Then repeats it again in quailifying, not to mention on the pole for the Xfinity race as well. I swear the guy has a sixth sense when it comes to road courses.

The bottom line is when they were showing him early, he was in the red and could have easily got bumped out given a mishap earlier in the race. As I have said before, with this format, you could win 20+ races and have something as simple as a flat at Phoenix and lose the Cup. But as they say...

On the flip side, if someone like Larson got wrapped up in that big wreck, he would be on the outside looking in even with the most wins and laps led.
