    2023 Rolex 24 at DAYTONA

I checked the car classes, I didn't find specs just a couple sentences describing each class. It looks like LMP2 and LMP3 are spec classes. I see the each class have 9-10 cars and with 23 cars in the GTD class. The racing season begins...

Thursday Night Thunder returns to ESPN

I'm glad to hear SRX is coming back. I got into it last summer and they have the coolest pace car. I wonder who will participate next season.

    Stage Cautions on Road Courses

I'm fine with the stages, but they don't need a caution. Let the teams determine their pit strategy.

Congratulations @hmmm298 I tried with fewer winners for two years and missed - so I can appreciate your prediction.

NASCAR 2022 - Bold Prediction Thread

I missed my prediction (Kyle B. would not win a race) when the two leaders took each other out and 3rd place Kyle won. I missed my prediction by -- that much.

NASCAR Cup Series Championship Pre-Race Thread

I'm wondering if someone outside the 4 will try and win the race or will the drivers put on kit gloves (as they have in the past).

    Xfinity RACE thread --- Martinsville

There was plenty of hard, short track racing between Allmendinger/Allgaier and Gibbs/Jones during the last laps. But the last move was bad - worthy of the boos from the stands.

A Memo To Dale, Jr... JUMP!!!

There is an old saying (before teams went corporate): You can make a small fortune with a race team, you just have to start with a large fortune.

From a causal open wheel fan Indy vs. F1

F1 may be the top of auto racing tech but the racing isn't as good as Indycar.

    Spotter Appreciation Thread

I've always wondered what it was like for the spotter. I figure the crew chief makes the big calls once in awhile and the spotter makes calls constantly. They have the pulse of the race. How far ahead and how far behind of the car do spotters typically monitor? I assume it is depends on...

    Running under recommended Tire PSI

Goodyear has tire testing equipment that can apply a variety of loads, including side loads while the tire rotates. They should have track data to work with too. They probably have a pretty good idea how the tires will hold up at any given track. Goodyear makes recommendations for tire...

    2023 IndyCar News / Misc.

I figure he might try LeMans in the Garage 56 car. Maybe try SRX for fun.

    2022 Dutch Grand Prix

Max blew by Hamilton, I thought having a teammate blocking was a bad plan.

I consider the Southern 500 to be one of the majors.

    illegal team orders

It is the nature of multi car teams and alliances to help each other. I don't like it - I miss the days when teams were smaller.

Time to look at playoff format?

I mostly like the current playoff format. I'd get rid of win and you're in, give the winner a good point reward. Once a car is eliminated from the playoffs they should return to the normal points pool; I think the teams out of the playoffs should be able to improve their season point standing...

Can (and Should) NASCAR's Culture Of Cheating Change?

While I enjoy hearing the Smokey Yunick and other innovative stories of NASCAR past, as a fan I want a level playing field. I’ve watched other race series where a dominate team hurts the series by producing less competition. I'm glad that NASCAR tries to keep the series fair.

    SRX RACE thread --- Sharon

I've enjoyed the series. I was bummed when they said it was the last race of the season (kinda got used to seeing it regularly). And they do have to coolest pace car of any race series.

Pocono Pre - Race Thread 2022

I like the Pocono track with its unique corners. Often, one team gets the setup right and dominates the race.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

I don't like street courses. They are concrete canyons where the drivers can't see around corners. Street races are parades.
