Denny did what he's paid to do, and that's to try and win the race. Also, there is a rule about team orders and stuff. If Hamlin lets Bubba win, he'd get criticized for that too. I don't hate on Hamlin like others though. I think he's good for the sport. I guess he didn't consider the power...

I don't think Bowman is a good example of "merit means nothing". He's a solid driver and his sponsors love him. You could do a whole lot worse in that 48 car.

Regarding the Corey Heim situation, Legacy is probably trying really hard to get a 3rd charter in order to land him. He'd be a great get for that organization, and Toyota keeps a big-time prospect. No sources, just speculation.
