I'm guessing this is due to the switch to Ram. They may not be able to support both the O'Reilly and Truck programs, esp. a 5-truck start-up program. There's also no reason to continue a Chevy program in O'Reilly when that manufacturer is likely to give them the cold shoulder.

The teams are getting much more control of the charters, and the clause permitting NASCAR to force a sale for conduct reasons parallels similar clauses in other franchise models. I suspect the teams' lawyers are asking for this, trying to get the best possible deal for their client. It's like...

You and I are in agreement. Note the date and time. My understanding from somewhere is both sides are sniveling over who pays for the lawyers. My prediction is they'll each wind up footing their own bills (which continue to grow as they delay).

For the record, Bold Prediction Game Management has enough trouble tracking finishing order. Game Management will not entertain predictions that require it to monitor TV ratings. These usually aren't available until a couple of days after the race, and often are updated again days later.

This could have been resolved quickly months ago so all parties could focus on the entire season, by doing what it sounds like NASCAR will be doing anyway - giving the teams the only thing they really wanted.

Hasn't it been on USA the last several weeks? I -assume- existing fans have found it. I don't watch other sports; has NBC been pushing this season's USA races on their other networks during their other content? I admit much of this is over my head.

He can, but what rides are available that are better than what he has now? Other than maybe the D500, there are usually less than 40 cars entered. He's going to make the field, charter or not. As long as he's getting paid the amount in his contract, why jump? And what team has a half-decent...
