I don’t disagree, Bowman is good but he’s also the weak link on a VERY strong team. Heim has so much potential. Toyota clearly is fine with wasting his potential so someone needs to pounce.
The teams escalated costs and increased their reliance on corporations. The costs in the sport are out of control too.
No easy fix because everyone wants a competitive edge so it is what it is.
Every point system is a gimmick to some degree. Just give me a system that is internally consistent. I prefer a full season format but I don’t mind playoffs. I like seeing people try to game the system. Chad Knaus and Jimmie Johnson did it for years with the Chase.
