NASCAR Pick 'Em 2025 - Chicago

Hey @pjmolo are you going to the race tomorrow?

    NASCAR on TNT

Same very strong team in the broadcast booth. Pre race group isn’t as good, pit teams OK, have no idea on any post race (was there any conducted?). Perhaps a different director, but they were kind of slow getting the replays queued up to show following incidents. Still that broadcast team of...

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Atlanta

10 - absolutely great racing, and the rating has nothing to do with who won. If you can’t enjoy this race, respectfully suggest picking another genre.

    Cup RACE thread -- Atlanta

Had a family event and couldn’t watch live, so recorded and avoided ANYTHING related to info on this race. Just finished watching it. WOW! I love Atlanta. That was the BEST race of the season YTD. Amazing action throughout, amazing saves from near wrecks and some that of course couldn’t be...

    Legacy to Toyota

Glad to see the Legacy team putting things together and being more competitive.

PRIME broadcast: now that’s a winner!

So we say goodbye to the Prime broadcast team, the best package overall in a long time. I will miss it greatly, although some of the same folks will be on the next 5 TNT editions. The production quality, picture quality, fan casual approach and pre/post race fun, just great. Keselowski was on...

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Pocono

8 - always challenging and this had serious fuel drama

Johali's Rate the Xfinity race --- Pocono

8 - a fun race and the new crew chief drama combined into an oval track victory for Connor.

PRIME broadcast: now that’s a winner!

Still like their broadcast a lot. Adam is an excellent lead announcer. Enjoy Jr and his gut reactions to events, plus his perspectives offered on the race and sport overall. LeFart was a bit more tame in the first race, but he has entered full irritation gerbil mode since. Can’t seem to help...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

They bought the rights to a Charter. There was never a guarantee that the Charter was a fixed, permanent asset. It was how a race team could maximize their potential when competing in the NASCAR series. Like similar business rights deals it carried inherent risks. Those risks should be factored...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

So let’s define “stock car racing”; because what it once was ain't what it is now. NASCAR fields pure racing vehicles which are designed to compete consistently via very specific specifications and approved parts. The racing body, or shell, is approved for only 3 types of designs, each made to...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

It is HIGHLY unlikely that the full 7 judge panel would somehow overrule their 3 distinguished colleagues on this ruling. The real issue is how ridiculous the first judge’s decisions were. It really didn’t align with business case law at all on the most basic level. So will Kessler and his...

Who was Better in their prime? Petty or Pearson?

I watched these men first battle in person when I was 12 at Hickory Motor Speedway (1970). Watched any race I could on TV, or at tracks once I could drive to them. Impossible to rank one over the other. Pearson was the more strategic driver, played the long game in moving up when necessary to...

Larson overtakes Elliott has top merchandise seller

Interesting. I don’t care very much who gets to the top of merchandising sales/popularity. I would offer an observation; is this less about Larson becoming more popular than it is Chase slipping a bit in HIS popularity? I postulate this because Elliot seems a tad off in his interviews. Almost...

Your thoughts on 21 Car this year??

I’m very happy for the team’s success…have always been a fan of the 21 car since pulling for Pearson in that Purolator Mercury many years ago. Wood Brothers are a class act. Berry is certainly helping as the 21’s driver, giving them more consistency this year.

PRIME broadcast: now that’s a winner!

I should also mention one other big plus: the last (I think) 50 laps of the racing broadcast commercial free courtesy of PRIME. If there had been a caution, not sure if they would have gone split screen during portions of the yellow, but that would have been fine.

PRIME broadcast: now that’s a winner!

Whomever it was that constructed the teams and concepts for the PRIME NASCAR presentation deserves major kudos. From the great video quality, to the announcers, the extended post race, I thought it was the best broadcast race presentation in a very long time. What’s everyone’s take? The primary...

    Johali's Rate the Cup race --- 600

10 - and not just because Ross won with an amazing pass. For the longest race it was compelling throughout. Passing, battles up front and right to the end. Great race coverage by Prime.
