I mean, it’s an objective fact that he saw an explosion in popularity after the n word incident. I know it’s an uncomfortable truth but there is a portion of Larson’s fanbase that jumped on board for the racism.

The truth doesn’t stop being true just because time passes. I give Larson credit for his personal atonement but it doesn’t change the fact around who jumped on his bandwagon back in 2020.

Southern California is a hub of car culture and there are multiple racing events that do well there, the Long Beach Grand Prix and the Pomona drag racing are good examples. Maybe NASCAR needs to look at its marketing. There’s very clearly a market there.

It looks like a unique track that should produce some interesting racing. I am interested in the strategy aspect of setting up a car here. Turns 1-2 are sweeping oval turns while the rest of the course would behave like a road course.
