Kyle while he might be one of the most talented guys around has always been checkers or wreckers. An all-time great but Harvick is ahead of him.

Both were talents that both really never got a chance in the high level equipments of their days. Ran on shoestring budgets and outran a lot of the fields and worked on their cars themselves. A part of the independent days of the sport before the Hendricks, Gibbs, and Penskes of the sport entered.
