Moving to network TV is the reason we have: debris cautions, stages, playoffs, double file restarts, green white checkered finishes, etc etc etc. They used to run races for the sake of running races, not for the sake of TV drama. I don't suspect things will get any better until this TV deal ends...

Do you think a rivalry is even possible in 2017? Sponsors don't let drivers out of their little box, you're not going to hear anybody speak their minds like actual adults... Hence "everything is great." Nascar certainly isn't going to let two drivers go at it without a swift visit to the trailer...

I never had a problem with a race ending under yellow any more than I have a problem with football teams running out the clock. Do you want a sport, or do you want WWE drama is the real question. The silliness of "overtime" and what comes along with it has desensitized me to legit great...

It seems like I'm in the minority, I can't stand Bestwick and his yuckin' it up 1960s radio announcer voice. "Oh boy what a twist of plot :insert phony laughter: but we digress." He always made me cringe or watch on mute.

There was some guy here on the forums who was adamant that as soon as cup drivers were finally kicked out of this series the ratings would shine. LOL

Dale Jr was the one driver who really could have stood up and spoken out about new era Nascar without repercussions and he never really did. My vote goes to Tony Stewart. ;)

Joe Ruttman, the late Bobby Hamilton and Jimmy Spencer had some great battles as well.
