I am getting a little long in the tooth and my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be at the age of 89 but the driver of the 88 car was Darrell. To the best of my recollection, Mikey never drove a Gatorade sponsored car although he did drive a car sponsored by Hawaiian Punch a couple of years...

If the year was 1979, it is Darrell Waltrip. Mikey didn't start in the Cup series until the 1980s.

There are no words to describe this terrible tragedy. It is tragic when anyone dies, no matter the cause, but Greg did so much for those less fortunate there must be a special place for him and his family. Deepest sympaties to his loved ones, fans and friends. God speed, Greg.
