In 2020, Wake Forest and Raleigh got hit with a 100 year snow storm that paralyzed the city and Wake County for several days. There was 20 inches of snow ate our house. The snow was to the top of the wheels on the motorhome. Had to shovel s path for the corgis. And to think we left New Jersey...

Fred Lorenzen was one of my favorite drivers. I followed his career from the beginning - he was a one year older than I am - until he retired. Fred never disappointed race fans. He came into the sport and walked away from it at just the right time. So sad he spent his final days dealing with...

Tanner will do alright. He's one of the most intense drivers I've seen in awhile. He makes sure his equipment is right and ready and if using a little psychology to stir the emotions works, why spout off and not use it. :idunno:

A majority of fans seem to feel NASCAR is not trusted and often decry their rulings as biased or unfair. All anyone need do is re-read posts from a variety of fans after NASCAR makes a controversial call. That is when allegations of favoritism begin.

The photo above, #136, was taken in 1957. Winning that race paid $25.00. It cost that much in gas and entrance fees plus meals along the way.
