If more HP significantly improves the racing this year, especially on the bigger ovals like Darlington, Dover, Nashville and what we just saw at Phoenix, NASCAR should consider using the same tapered spacer across-the-board next season.
How many years in a row will fans take the time and spend their money to see a mediocre product? Nothing lasts forever, but NASCAR doesn't seem to realize that.
The problem is NASCAR won't even acknowledge the issue at superspeedways. Can they fix it? Maybe, maybe not. But it seems they're not even interested in trying.
